Information for Contractors

The Basement Health Association (BHA) is a non-profit professional trade organization that brings together the industries that affect the basement and building environment. That includes waterproofing, water diversion, structural repair, foundation repair, crawl space, egress, indoor air quality, and mold remediation.

Too often, each of these trades works on its own, and the homeowner pays the price. BHA connects them so customers get a better result.

Raising the standard for healthy homes, one organization at a time.

What We Do for Contractors

The BHA gives contractors and vendors working in the below-grade environment a professional forum for continuing education backed by science, as well as provide events for further networking and training opportunities.

Through ethical training and certification, we help our members stay current on the latest repair techniques and local laws, and we hold the industry to a high standard of honesty and transparency. We also educate the public about basement and building health and connect homeowners with reputable BHA-Certified contractors.

Membership Value Explained

“As a new member to the Basement Health Association, all I can say is I wish I had joined sooner.”

“Both my husband and I recently attended the fall regional meeting in Atlantic City and were blown away by the knowledge demonstrated in the rooms. I am an Indoor Environmental Professional, and my husband owns a waterproofing company. There was information for both of us which helps balance the industry from all perspectives. What a breath of fresh air to see IAQ, mold remediation, waterproofing, and structural support professionals come together creating healthy homes.”
